Other Information
I have been in St. Clair County Schools since January of 2016. I taught 6th grade English at Odenville Middle School for five and a half years. I taught reading intervention for a year. I am so excited about continuing my career in library science at St. Clair County High School! I also teach an Introduction to Computer Science TEALS course at SCCHS.
Prior to working at SCCS, I worked as an exceptional education aide for Jefferson County Schools. I substitute taught at Hoover City Schools and Shelby County Schools. I worked as an 11th and 12th grade English teacher at Tuscaloosa City Schools.
My husband and I bought a house and moved to Odenville in August 2019. We love to grow vegetables in our garden, play with our dogs (Lucy- a Pit Bull Mix, and Petey- a Maltese Shih Tzu), collect and play records, go to concerts, spend time with family and friends, and watch Alabama football. I love to travel when I have time.
I look forward to starting many projects and working with many different teachers and classes this year. I want to make sure the library is a productive and safe place for students to visit.
This school year (2024/2025) I will be teaching a computer science course during 1st period, so the library will be closed for tech support and checkout during that time.
