Fees are due by September 15th, 2023.
Current Member Dues are $45. - This covers your local dues and a T-shirt.
New Member Dues (once accepted) are $60. - This covers your local, state, and national dues and a T-shirt.
New member applications are due by August 31, 2023. Applications will not be accepted after this date.
SCCHS Beta Club
The prominent Beta Club at SCCHS recognizes and honors high academic achievement, prepares young adults for life, develops leadership within students, and performs services for our school and community.
Beta Club provides students with opportunities and experience that helps them develop into adults and become part of the global community.
Membership in the Beta Club is based upon demonstration of the qualities of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. Membership is both an honor and a responsibility. Students selected for membership are expected to continue to demonstrate the qualities by which they were selected.
- Service – The student who serves:
- Volunteers dependable assistance and is willing to sacrifice to offer assistance.
- Cheerfully and enthusiastically renders any requested service to the school.
- Does, without complaint, committee and staff work and shows courtesy by assisting visitors, teachers and students.
- Participates in some outside activity (e.g. scouting, church groups, volunteer services, family duties).
- Character – The student of character:
- Consistently exemplifies desirable qualities of behavior.
- Upholds principles of morality and ethics.
- Cooperates by complying with school regulations.
- Manifests truthfulness in acknowledging obedience to rules.
- Upholds academic integrity and shows unwillingness to profit from the mistakes of others.
- Takes criticism willingly and accepts recommendations gracefully.
- Leadership – The student who exercises leadership:
- Demonstrates leadership in promoting school activities.
- Is able to delegate responsibilities.
- Exemplifies positive attitudes.
- Successfully holds school offices or positions of responsibility.
- Demonstrates leadership in the classroom, at work and in school or community related activities.
- Is thoroughly dependable in any responsibility.
- Scholarship – The scholarly student:
- Maintains a cumulative GPA of at least 88.0 on a 100-point scale.
