Band

Saint Clair County High School is located in Odenville, AL just northeast of Birmingham. Odenville Middle School offers 6th grade beginning, 7th grade intermediate, and 8th grade advanced bands. All three middle school bands perform Christmas and Spring concerts for the community. Selected 7th and 8th grade students also can perform at the State Music Performance Assessment (MPA). Saint Clair County High School offers marching and symphonic band for 9th-12th grade students. The “Sound of the Saints” marching band consistently receives Superior ratings and Best in Class awards. The marching band strives to offer a “crowd friendly” entertaining show that still requires musical excellence from the participants. The Symphonic band is comprised of the most talented band students at St. Clair County High School. The purpose of the ensemble is to develop in young people a love for the richness of classic wind band literature. The band has consistently received Superior ratings at District and State MPA while performing grade 5 and 6 literature. The band has grown in size and reputation. Individuals are selected for all-state and university ensembles yearly, but we are most proud of our high rate of scholarship recipients.
